Private equity firm Thoma Bravo has merged video-based insight provider UserTesting and user experience specialist UserZoom under the UserTesting brand. These are two of the largest providers of UX Research services, and the newly merged company will be a dominating player within their industry.
The merger combines UserZoom’s research capabilities, consultative services, a proprietary benchmarking methodology and experiences insights hub with UserTesting’s enterprise-scale technology, proprietary contributor network and AI and ML-driven offer.
UserTesting will combine the technologies onto a single platform over the next year while continuing to invest in product innovation, including new features, add-ons and integrations.
UserTesting CEO Andy MacMillan and the combined exec team will lead the merged business.
