SurveyBods is a UK-based panel community rewarding its members with points when completing surveys. By accumulating enough virtual points, you’ll eventually be entitled to a cash transfer through PayPal or a free gift card such as Amazon. So how is life as a SurveyBod? We’ve taken a critical look at the survey site.

Is SurveyBods a legit survey site?
Yes, this is a legit survey site honouring its survey participants as advertised. In addition to running the survey site, SurveyBods is a well-established UK market research agency, part of STRAT7.
Data Privacy: Any reason for concern?
SurveyBods s part of a professional market research company that takes data privacy seriously. While there are never any guarantees against data breaches on the internet, you can rest assured the company will do its best to keep your data safe.
SurveyBods is also following ESOMAR’s guidelines for how to treat respondents and adheres to data privacy regulations such as GDPR.
How to get started
You can register through the browser or download the app from Google Play Store or the App Store. Click the “Join Today” button to start the registration process, then fill out a simple form with your name, email address, and date of birth.
Then you need to fill out a profile survey that asks a few questions about you and your lifestyle. Surveys are open to UK residents only. You must be 16 years of age and above to join, but 11 to 16 years old can participate with parental permission.
What about the survey experience?
You can tell that surveys are served by proper market research companies, with very few technical glitches. This is a much better experience than taking 3rd party surveys through reward sites.
Keep in mind that you’ll not be able to qualify for all surveys. In our experience, we qualified for just above 1/3 of all surveys we attempted to take. It can feel demotivating to be rejected so many times, but better get used to it. This is the modus operandi for most of the survey sites we’ve tested.

How much can you make on SurveyBods?
SurveyBods uses a points system for their rewards where 100 points are equivalent to £1. The minimum payout is 1,500 points, or equal to £15.
At the time of writing this review, you also get a £1.50 “join bonus”, which is not really worth anything unless you reach £15.
The wording on the website is misleading in our opinion “Join now and get your £1.50 sign-up bonus!” This sounds like you get an instant payment when signing up. Instead, you get 150 worthless virtual points, which you cannot redeem until you’ve completed a high number of surveys.
You can make between 25 and 150 points per survey, in addition to taking part in monthly prize draws. On average we received 50 points or ~£0.50 per survey complete.
We had to complete as many as 25 surveys before finally cashing out our first reward through Amazon – see the screenshot below:

What can prevent me from cashing out?
The platform has a quality control system to check if you are giving honest answers. You will be given strikes whenever you rush through a survey and give contradictory or wrong answers.
SurveyBods may suspend or terminate your account if you keep on getting strikes. Remember that your responses will be constantly checked and matched with your previous ones.
So our advice is to be consistent and honest in your answers to avoid contradicting yourself. Moreover, creating multiple accounts to earn more money is a big NO.
