Survey Sites explained in 10 steps

Looking to join a Survey Site? Here are the key steps in the process applicable to most sites:

1. Client requests survey participants

A client requests survey participants for a market research project.

2. A target-group is selected

Based on the profiling information you have provided, a sub-set of panelists will be eligible and selected to participate.

3. Participants are invited

Panelists with qualifying profiles will be invited to participate, usually through email invitation or push notification on mobile.

4. Screening of participants

Upon clicking the invitation link, you'll go through a set of screening questions before you are fully qualified to participate.

5. Participants take the survey

As a participant you'll answer a number of questions. The survey could be about anything from consumer brands and entertainment to healthcare and business topics.

6. Your answers are checked

After you have answered all the questions diligently, you'll get a confirmation if your submission has been approved. You'll sometimes need to wait for a researcher to have gone through your submission before you get a confirmation.

7. Your reward is allocated

After the survey, you'll also get a confirmation on the incentive you have earned. The rewards vary from site to site, but is often based on virtual points or simply a cash amount for each survey.

8. Meeting the redemption threshold

Most survey sites don't allow you to withdraw your reward straight away, but will require you to earn a minimum amount before withdrawing your hard earned reward.

9. Filling out your payment information

If you opt to receive your reward through PayPal or bank transfer, remember that your name and address must also match your profile on the survey site.

10. Redeeming your reward

Once you meet the redemption threshold you can withdraw your reward, which is usually in the form of PayPal credits, bank-transfer, Amazon-vouchers, or other types of gift-cards.

Survey Sites Guide

Data Privacy: Any reason for concern?

Survey.com protects its users through its data privacy. The survey site will keep users’ information confidential and never share personal data with third-party providers.

How to get started

The survey site is available for people who live in the United States. You must be at least 18 years old to be eligible to sign up. To sign up, you will first have to install their mobile app. Then go through the registration process, providing your email address first.

Install the “Merchandiser” Survey.com app on your smartphone first. Then, to build your profile, you’ll need to provide additional information, such as your address and phone number. Your phone number is actually quite important because when you claim projects, a representative will call you to confirm if you truly want to work on the project. The Merchandiser will send you a confirmation email once you have completed the profiling process. To complete your registration, click the link in the email. You can now begin working on projects.

What about the survey experience?

Their app is available for download on Android and iOS stores, so compatibility should be no issue. The iOS app store calls it Survey Merchandiser. The app is very simple to use, so you won’t have trouble getting used to it. There will also be no annoying pop-up ads. Overall, their app provides a pleasant user experience, which is all a mobile app can expect. The projects you complete will determine how many points you earn.

You can visit their website’s support page if you have any questions about their platform or run into any problems while using their app. The app also provides access to their support page.

On that page, you’ll find their FAQ section. It is comprehensive, covering most of the important aspects of the app.

How much can you make on Survey.com?

You will usually earn around $5 to $20 for each project you complete. You will receive the payment for the project exactly 6 days from the submission date of deliverables if Merchandiser approves it. Then, when it shows up in your Merchandiser account balance, you can withdraw if your earnings are at least $5 through their payment system called Openforce.

Google Opinion Rewards Review Summary
Taking surveys through Google Opinion Rewards is effortless compared to many other survey sites. Surveys are short and snappy, and you don't get as quickly bored as with longer, more complex questionnaires. Because the surveys are so quick, the incentives are also low (incentive value is linked to survey length). It's a great way to earn enough credits to get a premium app or an e-book for free once in a while.

What can prevent me from cashing out?

It is understandable how frustrating it is when survey providers decline your survey because you do not qualify – especially after answering several questions; it frequently leads people to wonder if their answers are being used when they are not being paid.

If the answers do not match what the survey provider is looking for, they will not be able to compensate you for that survey. The second thing is that if you do not qualify for a survey, the provider will not keep or use any information you provide. So you must give consistent, true, accurate, and current information.
