Rewarding Your Opinions Air Miles Surveys

Rewarding Your Opinions is a survey site which exclusively rewards its members with miles through the Canadian Air Miles loyalty scheme. You can redeem your miles in various ways, such as by booking flights or hotels. We’ve thoroughly tested the site to see if it’s worth the effort to take Air Miles surveys on an ongoing basis.

How does it work?

Like many other consumer panels, taking surveys through Rewarding Your Opinions is a good opportunity to share your shopping experiences and opinions with market research agencies and brands looking to collect insights. What’s different about this specific panel is that you’ll only have one reward option: Air Miles Canada. For each survey you complete, you’ll earn miles, which will be transferred to your main Air Miles account.

What is the Air Miles loyalty scheme?

Air Miles is a loyalty program that rewards customers with miles for making purchases at participating retailers, dining at participating restaurants, or using participating services. The miles earned can be redeemed for travel, merchandise, and experiences such as flights, hotels, car rentals, and more. The program is offered in several countries, including Canada and the United Arab Emirates.

The program’s specifics may vary by region. Still, the overall concept is to incentivize customers to make purchases with participating partners in exchange for rewards in the form of Air Miles. While Air Miles exists in several countries, note the Rewarding Your Opinions panel is only for people living in Canada.

What’s the difference between Air Miles and Aeroplan loyalty schemes?

Aeroplan and Air Miles are two of the most well-known loyalty programs in Canada, and they have some similarities but some key differences.

Aeroplan is a travel rewards program that allows members to earn miles through various activities, including flying, shopping, and using credit cards. Members can redeem their miles for flights, hotels, car rentals, and other travel-related expenses. Aeroplan is also a transferable currency, meaning that miles can be transferred to other members.

On the other hand, Air Miles is a loyalty program that rewards members with miles for making purchases at participating businesses. Members can redeem their miles for flights, hotels, merchandise, and experiences. Air Miles operates in two regions in Canada: Ontario and the Atlantic provinces. Air Miles operates as the “Dream” program in the rest of Canada, which is similar to Aeroplan.

Another difference between the two programs is the focus on their rewards. Aeroplan primarily focuses on travel-related rewards, while Air Miles offers a wider range of reward options, including merchandise, experiences, and travel.

Ultimately, the best loyalty program for you will depend on your personal preferences and spending habits. Aeroplan and Air Miles offer valuable rewards and benefits, so it’s worth considering both programs to see which fits your needs best.

How do I sign up for Air Miles surveys?

You can only sign up for Rewarding Your Opinions if you already have an existing member account with the loyalty program Air Miles in Canada. You also need to be a minimum of 16 years old. When joining the panel, you are asked to enter your 11-digit Air Miles membership number. If you’re not a member of Air Miles yet, you can quickly register for a free account and return to the Rewarding Your Opinions join page to finalize the registration process. Once signed up, you’ll be asked to fill in your basic profiling information, such as gender, age, postal code, occupation, income, and purchasing habits.

How your data is handled

You’ll share a lot of information about yourself when signing up for a survey panel. How can you be sure that your data is safe? The company behind Rewarding Your Opinions is called Dynata and is one of the larger market research firms. The company adheres to local day privacy laws in Canada, and we can only assume they will do all they can to keep your data safe. This includes keeping you informed about how your data is used and for which purposes. For example, they would not sell your contact details for other companies to send marketing emails to you.

How do I take Air Miles surveys?

There’s no lack of survey opportunities after signing up to take Air Miles surveys. We recommend filling out your full profile since this increases your chances of being successfully matched with new opportunities. If Dynata lacks data on you, they might send you random surveys, which you’re more unlikely to qualify for. This means you’ll get kicked out of surveys more often because you don’t qualify, which can be very irritating and time-consuming. After taking an extensive amount of surveys for two weeks, we were “booted out” of more than half the surveys on average because we didn’t meet the qualifying criteria. This is completely normal.

How to earn rewards on Rewarding Your Opinions

It’s all about Air Miles on this site. No PayPal or Amazon gift cards. You’ll usually get The good thing is that your points will be automatically transferred to your main Air Miles account without you having to remember to request your miles to be redeemed. So the only thing you need to do is to keep taking surveys, and the miles will start accumulating in your account. It can take quite a lot of days from the moment you take a survey until you see the points in your Air Miles account, so don’t expect the transfer to be instant.

How much can I make taking Air Miles surveys?

First of all, you’ll get 15 Air Miles for signing up and completing your first survey. Then you’ll get between 1 and 10 Air Miles from taking regular surveys. According to Nerdwallet, 1 Air Miles is worth around $0.10, which means you’ll earn between $0.10 and $1 per survey. In our experience, the average pay per survey was 5 Air Miles. The good thing is that you’ll get 1 mile credited to your account when you don’t qualify to soften the blow. All in all, the miles you earn on this site do not have a lot of monetary value. However, to earn 5 Air Miles, you would normally need to spend as much as $100 in a store – so from that perspective, I guess it’s worth the time to spend 5-10 minutes taking a survey from time to time.

Is Rewarding Your Opinions a legit survey site?

What’s important to notice is that it’s not Air Miles operating the website. While you might have gotten invited by Air Miles to join the panel, Rewarding Your Opinions is actually operated by a market research company called Dynata. This is a legit partner and an official partner of the Air Miles loyalty schemes, which means you’ll get your miles as promised through your main Air Miles account. Just like you can earn Air Miles from purchasing products from one of their partners, such as Amazon and eBay, you’ll be able to earn miles from surveys through Dynata.

What can prevent me from cashing out?

As long as you provide accurate and honest data, you’re on the safe side. However, if they discover that you have submitted false profile information or have submitted inconsistent survey answers, you might get kicked out of the panel and get your account suspended
