PeanutLabs Review
If you’re a frequent survey taker, chances are high that you’ve come across PeanutLabs. Unlike ordinary survey sites, this is not a classic panel that you can sign up for. Peanut Labs’ business model is to partner with gaming apps and reward sites to offer surveys as a way to monetize their users. In return for completing a survey, the user usually gets a small reward from the referring site. In this review of PeanutLabs, we’ll take a deep dive into their business model and check if it’s worth signing up for.
What is Peanut Labs?
Peanut Labs is a facilitator of automated buying and selling of market research respondents. If you get offered free credits by taking a survey on your favourite game app, it might be a survey facilitated by Peanut Labs. The surveys you’ll receive through the Peanut Labs platform come from a range of different market research agencies. A common issue you’ll face is that you’ll frequently be screened out of surveys before being able to finalize (and earn your reward). This is a weakness of the programmatic way of serving online surveys as the matching of respondents and surveys is less efficient.
Is Peanut Labs legit?
Peanut Labs is indeed a legit site. The company behind Peanut Labs, Dynata, is a global market research company with hundreds of employees and physical offices serving a multitude of clients all over the world. This means that Peanut Labs is not a scam, and you’ll eventually get paid for the surveys you complete according to their terms.
Peanut Labs surveys suspended
Peanut Labs is owned by Dynata, a market research company with strict data quality requirements. Respondents who show inattentive behaviour by answering similar questions inconsistently might get kicked out from taking surveys. If you think that your Panelut Labs surveys shouldn’t have been cancelled, read our post on how to prevent survey account suspension.

What about my data – are they safe?
Peanut Labs; owner Dynata will monetize and share your survey data anonymously in order to deliver valuable research to its clients for market research purposes. These clients may use this data to develop and improve products, for example, to track the brand awareness of a consumer brand such as a coffee brand like Nescafe. Personally identifiable data, like your name, email address and phone number will be treated in a confidential manner and shared in a very restricted way.
Can I join Peanut Labs?
No, Peanut Labs is first and foremost a B2B company and a marketplace selling and buying survey data. You may take a Peanut Labs survey through one of their hundreds of partners, but you cannot sign up for Peanut Labs directly. Examples of websites connected to the PeanutLabs platform include Swagbucks, Cointiply and SaySo Rewards.
