Is OpinionWorld a legit survey site?

OpinionWorld was created by SSI (Survey Sampling International) before the company changed its name to Dynata in January 2019 following the merger with Research Now. As part of Dynata, OpinionWorld is part of a network of sources used to fulfil market research surveys on several different topics ranging from standard consumer surveys to b2b surveys and healthcare studies.

How to get started

To earn rewards, you must complete surveys. Each survey should take approximately ten to fifteen minutes to complete. To join OpinionWorld, you must be above the minimum age, which is usually between 14 and 18 years, depending on the country.

Better submit thoughtful answers

Since OpinionWorld is part of a large and serious market research company, they are making big efforts to combat fraud and inattentive answers among their users. If you are repeatedly caught providing false answers, you will be at risk when redeeming your rewards. Like many other paid panel sites, OpinionWorld uses trap questions within the surveys to check if respondents are answering honestly. An example of this could be to ask your age in different ways at different stages. So if you’re planning to make a quick buck by racing through surveys without paying much attention, this is probably not the right site.

High chance of qualifying

You will never have a shortage of survey opportunities signing up with OpinionWorld, and most surveys will provide a good user experience. The survey matching is also happening effectively, but you need to consider a lot of screening questions before you sign up. Compared to many other survey sites we have tested, you are generally less screened out. This is very positive because it also increases your likelihood of getting paid the full incentive for each survey.

Low incentives

While the user experience and survey matching are happening effectively, the incentive level can be as low as 10 points for a short survey. To redeem through PayPal, the minimum threshold is 10 EUR/USD or 1000 points, which means you will need to conduct up to 100 short surveys before reaching the redemption threshold if you are aiming for a cash transfer. At the same time, you will also get survey opportunities where you can earn a lot more, and the redemption level for Amazon vouchers is lower.
