GoWebSurveys Review

GoWebSurveys or gowebsurveys.com, is a survey site offering virtual points in return for your time taking surveys. Once you have accumulated enough points you can exchange them for gift cards from online retailers such as Amazon. However, there’s a big catch; read our review to find out if this is a recommended panel site or not.

What company is behind GoWebSurveys?

The company behind the website is called Global Survey (globalsurvey.gs) which lists its headquarters in Ahmedabad, India with representatives in other locations such as the US (Orlando, Florida). The company is active in the research community and participates in congresses such as IIEX and Quirk’s. In terms of corporate memberships, they are currently not members of either ESOMAR or IA.

How to get started

It’s not really clear from their website which countries they are actively recruiting participants from. However, the registration form is asking for a US zip code, and the gift card examples are from India, so we will assume they accept new members from the US and India at least. Their terms also mention that “You must understand English.”

How much can you make on Go Web Surveys?

You can earn points with Go Web Survey for each survey you complete. Share your opinions and earn points that can be converted into cash or shopping vouchers from a variety of popular retailers, such as Amazon, Flipkart, Chroma, and more. The number of points you earn depends on the survey’s complexity and can range from 15 to 200 points. Each point is worth 1.00 Indian Rupee ($0.012).

Once you have a minimum of 5000 points in your account, you can redeem them for gift cards from the reward catalogue.

Here are some examples:

  • Amazon vouchers
  • Flipkart gift cards
  • Croma electronic gift cards
  • Bag Bazaar gift cards
  • Paytm gift cards

Red flag: Very high redemption level

5 000 points mark the minimum redemption level, which equals 5 000 Indian Rupees or $60. This is an exorbitantly high level, keeping in mind that a survey complete could be worth just 15 points ($0.18) . Most likely you’ll need to take surveys on a daily basis for months before finally being able to redeem your hard-earned cash. If you fulfil all their other terms. This is a huge red flag which leads us to not recommend signing up for GoWebSurveys.

What can prevent me from cashing out?

The biggest risk of not cashing out is not being able to reach the extremely high redemption level of 5 000 points. Also, if they consider that you’ve violated any of their long list of terms, you risk account suspension (and the loss of your accumulated points). According to their terms, they can also hold back payment unless you provide a valid ID and proof of address. The high redemption level in combination with their strict terms makes it very difficult for participants to ever get their reward.

Disclosure – How we make money

We built HuginX around our core principles of openness, honesty and transparency. Your trust is of the utmost importance to us, which is why we’ll always be straight-up about how we review sites.

When it comes to running our website, we want to be entirely upfront about how we operate, how we make money, and how we keep the site a free resource for our millions of visitors. We don’t accept payment to provide positive reviews, and providers will never have a say in how we choose the best sites. Our aim is to put you, the reader, first and foremost at all times.

A list of practices we never engage in:

  1. We will never accept money to review a product
  2. We will never accept money to change a product review
  3. We will never accept money to turn a blind eye to an issue or flaw
  4. We will never accept money to bias our research or investigations

So, how do we make money? We receive fees from some of the sites we refer subscribers to. These fees are also known as affiliate commissions. When you click on a link or a button that takes you to a provider’s website such as a survey site, we may receive compensation for having referred a new sign-up.

Referral fees are only negotiated after we’ve fully conducted our review, meaning that money plays no factor in the process. Referral fees do not impact our review ratings and recommendations. The compensation we receive may, however, influence how, where, and in what order products appear in our paid search comparison pages, which are separate from our editorial content. These contain ad listings, and can only be accessed via search engine advertisements.

GoWebSurveys Review Summary
At first sight, GoWebSurveys or gowebsurveys.com seems like a standard survey site offering virtual points in return for your time participating in market research surveys. However, the exorbitantly high redemption level in combination with their strict terms makes it almost impossible for anyone to get paid for their participation. Not recommended.
