CitizenMe Review

CitizenMe is a personal data platform that allows individuals to take control of their personal data by providing them with tools to understand, share and monetise it. The company aims to empower people to take control of their data and make better decisions about how it is used. The platform can collect data from various sources, such as social media, email, and other apps, and then organise it, making it easy to understand and use.

You share your data with consent; we anonymise the data and remove any personal identification, and provide you with a fair reward for your data. Thus, collectively protecting our data privacy and rights together.

A personal data management platform

CitizenMe allows individuals to connect with brands, researchers, and other organisations that want to use their data, and in return, they get paid for it. Additionally, they provide insights to individuals about their data, how it is being used, and ways to make better decisions about who they share it with.

Founded in 2014, CitizenMe has made it its mission to provide more cash for your data than any other survey site. Its shorter surveys and excellent mobile experience are all great ways to earn money and support charities. Users can access the app on their smartphones, build a digital profile, and securely store their answers. After answering the survey, they will receive their reward via PayPal.

Is CitizenMe legit?

CitizenMe is run by a legit business and is not a scam. The site is managed by a professional team of researchers who pay for your time while taking surveys. At the same time, don’t have too high expectations towards earning massive money from regular consumer surveys.

Instant payment

As opposed to many other survey sites, CitizenMe will pay you each time you complete a survey. Connect to your PayPal account and get paid upon completion of each data exchange. Or give back by donating your data to climate change research, charities or medical research.

Any drawbacks?

CitizenMe is still in the startup phase, and time will tell if they succeed with their transparent and fair policy towards respondents. While the company is growing, you might experience a lack of survey opportunities, which might lead to some users becoming inactive.

What is Zero Party Data?

Zero party data is information about a user voluntarily provided by the user, such as preferences or demographics, that can be collected and used by a company without the user having to take action or share any information. This type of data is considered more valuable than first-party data, collected through user interactions with a company’s website or app or third-party data managed by other companies and shared with the company.

What are the benefits of Zero Party Data?

  1. Increased customer trust: Respondents are more likely to trust a company and feel more invested in the relationship by voluntarily providing information.
  2. More accurate respondent profiling: Zero party data can provide more detailed and precise information about a respondent’s preferences and demographics, allowing for more targeted marketing and personalisation.
  3. Shorter surveys: By utilising zero party data, CitizenMe can ask fewer questions, which means surveys are quicker and more engaging to fill out.
  4. Compliance with data privacy regulations: Because the respondent voluntarily provides zero party data, it is considered more compliant with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
  5. Reduced dependence on third-party data: With zero party data, CitizenMe can reduce its reliance on data provided by third-party companies, which can be less reliable, outdated, or not fully compliant with regulations.
  6. Cost savings: Zero party data can help CitizenMe save costs by reducing their need to purchase third-party data.

Swagbucks Review Summary
Swagbucks is one of the grand old ladies of the online survey world. Here it's all about quantity; the more surveys you take, the more rewards you accumulate. Expect to wade through a ton of screenout questions which you'll never get paid for though. And when you do get rewarded, the incentive is usually very low.
